Stephen Hawking
If Stephen Hawking’s quest to discover the “theory of everything” ever eventuates, it may not be as significant as something he has already achieved.

He was born with a brilliant mind, not by chance; neither is his physical handicap an unfortunate accident of nature. His circumstance is the result of an invisible quantum law at work. He is a natural man and a spiritual man whose life and circumstances are a testimony to the “I AM” which dwells within each individual. It is the driving force that looks beyond physical deformities, instinctively driving the mind and intellect towards creativity and exploration of the wonders within this world that fascinate us. The mind and intellect is the thinking driving force that overcomes physical disadvantages.
At the age of twenty one, Stephen was diagnosed with motor neuron disease, and in spite of having been given just a year or two to live, has thus far lived to almost seventy years. Though his self determination, ambitions, and brilliance, will one day cease to exist, and while an admiring world will praise and remember his contribution to science, somewhere in time, his consciousness will once again awake within this world. A child, with identical gifts and determination, ambition, and brilliance, regardless of gender, will breathe the breath of life once again, returning to a unique physical being. Nature is an object lesson. It teaches us that nothing lives unless it dies. Life and death are natural cycles, a process that refreshes the soul, yet keeps the intellect, gifts, likes and dislikes, constant. While there is no remembrance of former things, our uniqueness and individuality that form our personality remain with us for better or for worse.
The time will come when science, rather than religion, will discover a quantum law that determines who we are, and the source of our being. Humanity will one day realise that we are subject to a self fulfilling law that determines where we are born and the circumstances we are born into.
Stephen Hawking should be remembered not only for his brilliant mind and intellect, but the testimony to the world that he has within, the essence of something far greater than flesh and blood, something unperishable and everlasting. Quantum science should not ignore, but rather investigate this dimension of humanity. Religion, with its traditional beliefs, (especially the doctrine of original sin) has not only caused a stumbling block to the gospel, but also to the scientific world, and the world at large. History testifies to the church’s intolerance towards scientific discoveries that hinder religious belief. The coming new world will be the” new heavens and the new earth” the bible speaks about. Quantum science, rather than religion, will open the door to this revelation. According to the words of Jeremiah, the time will come when religion will not be necessary. (Jeremiah 31:34)
