Two Creations

The traditional teaching of Genesis is that Adam, the animals, and Eve were formed on the 6th day. It was a perfect world with a tree of life and another tree of the knowledge of good and evil in the centre of the garden, with a certain fruit, that once tasted, would bring certain death. Tradition teaches that a Serpent enticed Eve into tasting the fruit from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, she in turn tempted Adam, then they were banished from Eden as a result of their disobedience. This interpretation is now termed original sin, a theological expression that blames Adam for all the problems in the world today.

The basis for the genesis debate :

1. God did not create Adam and Eve on day six.
2. Adam and Eve were not commanded to be fruitful and multiply and replenish the earth:

3. Dying is not a result of disobedience.
4. The natural world with all its plants and living creatures did not begin to die as a result of Adam and Eve’s disobedience.
5. Adam and Eve are not responsible for all the pain and suffering in the world.
6. Adam and Eves descendants are not born with original sin.
7. Adam and Eve’s children were not permitted to practice incest because there were no genetic diseases. They were not allowed special dispensation to intermarry and have children.
8. God did not bring in a rescue plan to save humanity from sin and death as a result of the fall.
9. Abel did not sacrifice and kill a lamb as an offering.

The truth about the first and last Adam.

1. Adam is named in Luke’s gospel as the Son of God.
2. Adam opened a door to a more glorious Eden by giving humanity the knowledge of good and evil. Without this knowledge, humanity would not bear the image and likeness of its maker
3. Adam did not sin.
4. Adam was the first born of all creation. He was created before the sun, moon and stars, created on the third day not the sixth day. He was the beginning of the creation of the body of Christ within humanity.
5. Adam was put in a separate garden with obvious boundaries. He was put there on his own without a helpmate.
6. Mankind, not Adam, was told to multiply and replenish the earth in Genesis 1.
   
7. Adam was not created at first in the likeness and image of God, but chose to become like God.
8. Eve did not realise she was naked until she had knowledge of procreation and sexual intercourse.
9. Adam knew exactly what he was doing every step of the way.
10. Through procreation, the seed of Adam was the beginning of the incarnation of the fullness of Christ within humanity, born at a predetermined time according to the gospel.
11. Adam was the first born of all creation.
12. Paul’s epistle to the Corinthians makes it clear that the first Adam and the last Adam are the beginning and finality of fullness of the Christ within humanity.

Mankind		Adam
"So God created man in his own image; in the image of God he created him; male and female he created them. Then God blessed them, and God said to them, be fruitful and multiply; fill the earth and subdue it." Gen 1:27-28. Note: God pronounced this as 'very good'.		Adam was created and ‘put’ in a garden (a restricted area), (Gen 2:7-8). Eve is made from Adam, Gen 2:21-22. Adam and Eve are eventually banished from the garden, Gen 3:24. Note: This was not pronounced as ‘very good’. Adam and Eve begin to procreate after the banishment. Gen 4:1. Cain & Abel are born, Gen 4:1-2. Cain Kills Abel, Gen 4:8
Children are born from the mixed races due to immediate procreation, Gen 1:28.		Cain takes a wife from one of the existing races, Gen 4:17. Seth is born to Adam and Eve in place of Abel. “For God has appointed another seed for me instead of Abel, whom Cain killed.” Gen 4:25. Seth also takes a wife from one of the existing mixed races, Gen 4:26.
Sons of God (descendants of Mankind) notice that the daughters of men (Cain and Seth’s descendants) are beautiful, hence mankind's descendants chose wives from Adam’s descendants, Gen 6:1.		Children born to Seth and Cain are beautiful, Gen 6:2.
A larger and violent race of people are born when the ‘sons of God’ take wives from amongst Seth and Cain’s offspring, Gen 6:1. This line became extinct. Descendants of Adam carry the ‘seed’ of mankind, Gen 6:13.		Noah was born through Seth’s Line. The sons of Noah and their wives now have the seed and genetic makeup of the entire human race. By the three sons of Noah and their wives, the variety of the races on earth are born. The genetic structure of each race already existed through the seed of both Mankind and Adam, hence the different and diverse races today, Gen 10; Gen 11. Ham Sham Japeth
